A Cardiac Sonographer, also known as an Echo Technologist, is a medical professional specially trained to use imaging technology to assess the anatomy of the heart and blood vessels. They operate ultrasound equipment that provides moving 2-D or 3-D images of the heart and its chambers. Cardiac Sonographers assist physicians in the diagnosis of a wide variety of disorders affecting the heart and blood vessels.
