The HB Calleja Center Academy for Medical Skills Advancement (HBCC AMSA) is an institution for higher learning of allied health professionals located in the heart of Metro Manila, Philippines. We have been educating allied health professionals by conducting training programs in Basic Echocardiography and Vascular Sonography since 2009. In 2018, we have introduced Basic General Ultrasonography.
Our curriculum was developed by experts in the field of Cardiology, with subspecialties in Echocardiography, Vascular Medicine, and Radiology; as well as by senior sonographers with vast experiences in their respective fields. The comprehensive training programs include didactic lectures and supervised hands-on-training using state of the art sonography equipment.
Over 1,500 sonographers have undergone our programs and are presently employed in medical facilities around the Philippines countries all over the world.
Our Training Programs are dedicated to providing the highest quality education to our students in order to promote excellence in the art and science of sonography. By applying academic theory with clinical practice, we develop students to become competent sonographers with a commitment to compassionate patient care and continuing education.
The Basic Echocardiography Program prepares the student for a career in Echocardiography. As a Cardiac Sonographer, also known as an Echo Technologist, he will be able to perform Echocardiograms which are noninvasive exams that create an image of the heart with the use of ultrasound.
The Basic Vascular Program prepares the student for a career in Vascular Sonography. As a Vascular Sonographer, he will be able to perform cerebral and peripheral vascular diagnostic evaluation of the arteries and veins with the use of ultrasound.
The Basic General Ultrasonography Program prepares the student for a career in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, also known as an Ultrasound Technologist, he will be able to perform imaging of the abdominal organs and superficial structures such as thyroid, breast, scrotum and testicles with the use of ultrasound.
